Windsurfing: Guidel Plage Wind Direction: cross to cross-on from ri Wind Stength: light Surf / Sea State: fun wave at harbour mouth Air Temperature: toasty Sea Temperature: fine Weather: luverly Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Fun session. Only windsurfer out. Couple sailing dinghies out to sea.
Carried kit from the camper to beach and rigged amongst the sun bathers.
Big sign on beach said 'No Swimming', so after I rigged, I weaved my way
out through all the swimmers. Then worjked my way upwind, all off the
plane, to a section where the sand banks set up a funny little wave between
the bay and the harbour / river mouth.
Fun place to play.
Family told me afterwards that 'everyone' on the beach sat and watched me
as I went out, so must be rare occurance anyone windsurfing there, or
perhaps just windsurfing when wind is so light.
Good fun, but would have been all the sweeter with a few knots more breeze!
